Next stop, Retail Risk Toronto – and retailers can join FREE
Written on 6th, June 2017
If you are a retailer, you won’t want to miss the next stop for us on this year’s event calendar. Retail Risk Toronto 2017 is FREE for all retailers to attend and we are pleased to announce that we are global sponsors.
Canada has its own unique, distinct risk and loss prevention identity, therefore the conference takes international expertise and marries it with regional thought leadership to create a dynamic, thought provoking and instructive industry leading event.
The event will be held at the Renaissance Toronto Downtown Hotel on the 22nd June and you will find us on stand 1, where our team will be there to discuss any upcoming projects and questions you may have; you will also be able to see Nick Walker, Commercial Director here at ai, presenting his talk on ‘man vs machine in the world of fraud.’
‘Man vs machine in the world of fraud’
Nick will be asking the question, ‘can your fraud monitoring benefit from machine learning?’ Common myths around machine learning are leading to misuse and missed opportunities. In Nick’s presentation, “Man vs Machine in the World of Fraud”, he considers how machine learning can offer benefits in both reducing fraud losses and increasing acceptance rates in all channels – without the need for expensive infrastructure.
Drawing on findings from Behavioural Economics he will unpick the manual fraud monitoring process, discuss how innovative technology can assist a manual approach and show how machine learning can be utilised with big data to deliver outstanding business benefit.
Nick will also cover some of the latest global fraud trends in the retail industry and discuss how these are relevant to the Canada and the US.
