A Day in the Life of Kirsty Ritson

We shine the spotlight on members of Team ai to learn more about their roles, what it’s like being part of the team, and what training and development opportunities ai offers. This month, we spoke to Kirsty Ritson, ai’s EazyFuel Support Manager.


How long have you been at ai and what made you choose your area of work?

I joined ai in March 2021, previously worked in Allstar (Fleetcor) as a System Support/Service Delivery Manager for their Fuel Card Processing Platform. This role appealed to me as it was an opportunity to gain more B2B experience with larger Fuel Companies outside of the UK and bring my fuel card processing knowledge to ai.


What does a typical day look like for you?

I have a stand-up meeting with my team most days to review workloads and priorities. I review tickets to ensure we are achieving our SLA and review project timelines and activities for current and future work to ensure I have allocated sufficient resources.


What is your team like?

I have a fantastic team of Service Delivery Managers, a UAT Manager and L2 Support Analysts who all work together to provide great customer service. We also work closely with other departments within ai such as the Product Team, L3 Team, Development Team, Deployment Team and Project Managers.


How do you ensure you keep your training and knowledge up to date?

We have an internal online learning portal called 360 Learning, and I also read articles on LinkedIn and relevant websites particularly in the areas of Customer Excellence, Operations Management & Agile Methodologies. 

What’s the best part about your job?

Getting involved in new feature functionality that is being delivered within the aiEazyFuel platform. I love being part of the Staff Council, we have fun organising events and activities that bring the company together.

What’s your proudest moment at ai so far?

Playing an instrumental role in improving our internal & external communications, developing our processes, and driving improvements to my teams SLA’s & KPI’s.

How would you describe ai in 3 words?

Interesting, Challenging, Friendly.


What do you enjoy most about working for ai?

The variety of work, and the support from my team.
