History

Founded in 1998, The ai Corporation is recognized as being a leading provider of state-of-the-art payment card fraud detection and prevention software systems to Issuers, Acquirers, Payment Processors and Merchants around the world.

Since then the Company has designed and developed a core range of payment card fraud management products. Payment card fraud screening solution RiskNet was launched in 1998 and SmartAuth was introduced in 2004.

RBS and NatWest Streamline were among the first companies to employ The ai Corporation’s card fraud prevention software solutions, and they were quickly followed by VISA.

Other major customers include Global Payments Inc, one of the world’s largest acquirers and issuers, and China Construction Bank, which is the second largest issuer in China.

In 2005, The ai Corporation started working in a UK Government sponsored Joint Venture to develop the next generation of fraud detection tools.

The ai Corporation relocated its Head Office from Torquay to Exeter in 2006, the same year that South African payment processor Bankserv began working with the RiskNet solution.
